Karolinska Stroke Update Consensus Statements 2008
About the Karolinska Stroke Update Consensus Statements and their Relation to ESO ESO guidelines
From this year the Karolinska Stroke Update meetings also form the platform for revision of the European Stroke Organisation (ESO) Guidelines. The statements of the participants will be advisory to the ESO Guidelines Committee.
Members of the ESO Guidelines Committee are also members of the Scientific Programme COmmittee of Karolinska Stroke Update.
The Programme Committee decides before each meeting which topics should be presented for the Karolinska Stroke Update participants. These topics topics are selected as those of interest for potential revision of the ESO Guidelines.
After each Karolinska Stroke Update meeting, a major revision of ESO guidelines will be performed, for 2008 on Management of Intracranial Aneurysms and Subarachnoidal Haemorrhage, in 2010 on Management of Intracerebral Haemorrhage, and on 2012 on Management on Ischaemic Stroke and TIA. Other, minor revisions, may occur for specific topics after each meeting.
ESO Guidelines Committee may also initiate changes of the Guidelines between the Karolinska Stroke Update meetings, if so required.
